There are many routes to choose from when hiking Table Mountain. On our website we don’t list them all, there are far too many. There are simply lots of Table Mountain hikes available. We offer some of the most popular and well known, but don’t hesitate to ask if you have heard about another route you would like to tackle.

Table Mountain is much larger in size than people expect. You could spend weeks, even months, exploring all the routes. Apart from the official routes there are many more unofficial routes some quite technical and requiring ropes or at the least some scrambling skills. India Venster is one of those options but the placement of staples has made it easier and more accessible to almost everyone.
Another less frequented route is Constantia Corner. As this route doesn’t take you to the top you may want to chose it as your second hike if you have time or if you’ve hiked to the top previously. With expansive views over Hout Bay and False Bay its steep gradient will take your breath but the reward will not disappoint.

Beyond Table Mountain to the south is the extensive Silvermine Nature Reserve. Again less frequented and offering panoramic views and scenery, it’s a great choice if you’re after something a bit less strenuous but equally beautiful. Hike above False Bay through pristine fynbos and intricate rock formations and you won’t be disappointed!

Within the confines of the Cape Peninsula we are spoiled for choice. Do try to allow for at least two hikes during your visit. Maybe you’ll only be here once so don’t miss out on all that is on offer and you won’t regret it! And yes, there is plenty to offer, since there certainly are lots of Table Mountain hikes, for you to choose from.
